All national parks are waiving their entrance fees this Saturday, as they take part in National Park Week.

The National Park Foundation says this week gives people a chance to discover the great outdoors and what the country has to offer.

Camping fees are still in effect for those who want to stay overnight.

Now, you know, after Thanksgiving, it's basically Mariah Carey season. So Thanksgiving was great and now we're counting down to some holidays coming up. So Hanukkah eight days away, Thursday, December 7th Christmas 26 days away on Monday, December 25th and New Year's Day, 33 days away on Monday, January 1st. So that's something that we can look forward to as well as these temperatures going back up one more cold night. And then we see the temperatures recovering into the upper forties, low fifties, even taking us into the weekend and beyond. But it does come with some wet weather that is going to start pushing through our area Friday afternoon and even into the evening, catching a break on Saturday before more wet weather moves into our area Sunday into Monday. So let's time it out on your futurecast tomorrow. A beautiful day, sunshine all day long clouds start to move in for the second half of the day and that is ahead of the storm system that is going to give us some rain. It is going to start pushing through our area after three P ma few scattered showers could be steady at times then out of here 7:08 p.m. no need to concern yourself about again. It is just going to be a fast moving storm. In terms of Saturday, it is going to start off with a little bit of sunshine before some clouds filter. It still going to remain dry, limited sunshine but temperatures low to mid 50 s after that, we're tracking some wet weather for Sunday night into Monday. But look at those temperatures. You're going to be telling us about a warm up. Temperatures are turning around. Now, this happens after tomorrow morning. So by tomorrow afternoon, you'll definitely feel the difference. But we have one more really cold start with temperatures in the twenties, feels like temps in the twenties as well. A little bit of improvement compared to the teens that it felt like early this morning, but Friday is better. And so it's Saturday. Saturday is going to feel a lot warmer, but at the same time, we're going to be tracking some rain on top of all this. So as we take a look at the first forecast for Thursday, it's a lot milder in the afternoon. You can enjoy being outdoors again with temperatures up in the forties walking. The dog won't be so much of a chore outside anymore. Now, it feels like temperatures for the morning will be chilly and it's been chilly all evening long. It's been feeling like it's in the twenties out there at this point. Hopefully, we know how to dress and how to navigate this weather. The winds are not that bad. In fact, they will continue to come down. So by the morning it's cold. Yes. But it won't be as harsh and the temperatures quickly turn around.

Here's the answer guys about to you. No, let me go ahead and dive into these details because we got some important information to talk about and it's some positive news as we're gonna be seeing the pick of the week come our way forward tomorrow. Most of the Sunni guys, a nice mild breeze coming away certainly does feel much better than how it has felt the past several days. I mean, we're not gonna be seeing temperatures near record breaking levels, but hey, back to where we should be, that's a nice swing and a positive direction after we had lows in the thirties, low highs, I should say in the thirties now, moving on in for the next several days. Here are those morning lows coming on up and it will be a little chilly out there for tomorrow morning, but we'll feel much better by the afternoon hours and then the mornings coming up for the next several mornings. Number twenties in sight. In fact, not even low thirties out there. We'll be enjoying much more milder mornings and also mild afternoons coming through. But we do have to keep our eyes on when we are watching the showers. Come on down Friday is going to be a day. You do not go and forget that umbrella. I think between the two weekend days, Saturday is gonna be the dry of the two days. Our system just passes us just to the north, but we do have another one coming on in for Sunday and leaving us by Monday morning. So we will be watching a few rounds of wet weather come on through. But at least the cold air that's been sitting around the northeast is slowly getting nudged out of here. High pressure is moving on in. It's gonna be building up a nice south westerly flow helping those temperatures to move on upward. So let's track it for you in your future cash where tomorrow morning in pine Bush, you're waking up at 28 feels 21 over a new city. It's 30 feels like 25. Watch these numbers move up in the afternoon hours. Lots of low to mid forties out there for air temperatures and the feel like temperatures not too far off coldest number I see during this time frame is Middletown Field about 36 degrees. But hey, a light jacket, I think it's all you're gonna need. Don't wear a thick winter coat. Now going towards Friday here is that storm system I mentioned pushing out of the southern plains in the Ohio River Valley. It'll be bringing a scattered rain showers and some brief downpours for Friday evening ride. Then it's out of here by Friday into Saturday. And here comes another system swing on in through your Sunday morning. It will be lasting throughout Sunday, midday, on and off rain coming on through the rain showers will taper off by Monday and then we'll watch drier conditions move on in throughout much of next week. But unfortunately, it does get colder for the first night of Hanukkah.

I haven't heard that. I had a great grandmother. Yeah, Pepsi and peanuts and eat what you want and be happy and enjoy the weather. That's right and get outside and eat outside. Tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day. I see the headline right there. I know after a cold spell we have a nice little warm up ahead even through the weekend. And this weekend it will be the unofficial start to winter. It's meteorological winter which begins on December 1st. So, uh winter is right around the corner here. We are also tracking a couple of rain showers. First batch will come in Friday then late Sunday and early next week. So the weather is turning a little bit unsettled as we get out of this cold spell tomorrow morning, it is calm and cold 29 degrees, but we are getting up to 48 in the afternoon. It's a pretty big difference and you'll feel it. It's going to be just a beautiful day and that sunshine is going to be great, mostly clear right now. No problems around just zooming out to show you the big picture. We don't have any big storms coming, there is an area of low pressure all the way down by Texas and that's going to head our way into the weekend and that will bring us some of those showers. So tonight, mostly clear at 6 a.m. 30 Glen Cove 26 in Hampton Bays. There's the forties in the afternoon, so it is going to feel warmer. It's a seasonable beautiful day. A little bit of a late day breeze out of the Southwest Friday morning does start off with some sunshine, but the clouds will be moving in ahead of a front and rain will get here late in the day. After four o'clock, we have just a couple of light scattered. It doesn't really look like we're going to get much from this front and it is going to move through quickly. So by midnight, the rain is gone and it's a dry start to the weekend. We noticed some extra clouds around Saturday before showers return late Sunday. So there is that showery weather and some of the rain could last through Monday. It gets breezy after that. A little bit cooler and a dry stretch ahead as we head into the start of Hanukkah. That should be under the current tree. That would be fantastic. Now, I know the hidden hat to take, to take the holiday. Cheer on the road. All right, let's see where this forecast is going as we head to the overnight. Listen, we've got temperatures that are already on the chillier side. Wind chills are in the low and middle twenties. Right now. The winds are letting up but the cold is still with us. We've got, you know, overnight lows dropping down again into the low and middle twenties. I think this is where we're going to keep them as we head into the overnight hours. Morris County. Your wind chills right now. It's not 30. Feels like in boot. Feels like 28 in Parsippany. Denville feels like 27. Hanover feels like 28 Madison right now at about 26 flanders and Chesters around 26 Bud Lakes coming in at around 26 as well. All that under mainly clear skies, but there is that slight breeze that makes it feel a little chillier. So the temperatures will go from the thirties down into the twenties. Now, as this cold air begins to retreat. Back up towards Canada. We have another storm system that's coming up from the Gulf of Mexico and this is going to bring with it some rain showers Friday going into very early Saturday. I don't think the start of the weekend is going to be a washout. But the second half of the weekend looks to feature another system that could be offshore that might try to wrap in a little bit more wet weather on Sunday. Some like enhance snow showers out towards the Catskills. None of that is making it towards New Jersey. It's a clear to a partly cloudy sky right now. Temperatures are on the chillier side, but as I mentioned that colder air is beginning to retreat back up towards the north. We'll start to see milder temperatures winning out over time. So again, what we're going to be looking at is this bitter chill that we've been dealing with over the last couple of days that's now beginning to move away from the area and we're starting to see a better forecast coming in as we head towards the upcoming weekend, a warmer forecast, we do have some wet weather to deal with Friday Sunday.
