The crowded race for the White House could soon include one more New Yorker.
Former New York Gov. George Pataki has revealed that he will announce in New Hampshire later this month whether he will seek the Republican nomination for president.
The 69-year-old resident of Garrison said being an underdog candidate won't deter him.
Pataki, the former mayor of Peekskill, considered running for president in 2008 and 2012.
He says his electoral success in a deep blue state and his ability to get along with Democrats will help him stand out.
