The parents of a slain baseball prospect from Yonkers say they won't rest until their son's shooter is behind bars.
Police say Michael Nolan was shot in the parking lot of a Burger King on Central Park Avenue last month in Yonkers.
Police say the shooting may have been related to an argument about a drag race. Michael's mother, Donna Nolan, says that isn't true.
"He had nothing to do with the argument, the fight," she says. "He was there, he would go there often. But he had nothing to do with any of it. Even if he was the one who threw a punch, so that's how you get revenge? You pull a gun and start shooting?"
Nolan's parents are seeking justice as they cope with the loss of their son.
"I want the person or persons responsible to have to pay for what they did to him," she says. "It's never going to change the situation or bring him back, but to know they're still out there with family and sleeping in their beds...that kills me inside."
Nolan's parents say they plan to visit their son every day at the cemetery.
Donna Nolan says that Michael, who was an organ donor, has already saved five lives.
