Take it, you know, today, I'm calling it for a good ish day now because you're not going to be seeing the wet weather and notice our silver lining here, 60 degrees. That's nice and very warm, big departure for December 2nd. And uh we are noticing the trend also heading into the pre dawn hours into tomorrow. Now by tomorrow afternoon, you'll definitely need those umbrellas, a lighter jacket alert for sure. Today, what to wear looks like that um, umbrella for tomorrow's soggy on and off showers all day and heading into dinner time. That's when things really start to improve. But a seasonal return once again, specifically Wednesday into Thursday, as we walk you through our future cast, the clouds are here and they will continue to stay with us thickening and also gradually building to more shower activity heading into overnight at first light, but then we have these rounds of rain. So, you know, not everyone gets to see them and experience them all at once, but their heavier pockets also embedded as early as eight and seven o'clock in the morning. You'll notice Brooklyn, you kinda see that, especially when we're talking about heading towards the afternoon time frame. So after 12 o'clock, that's when we can start to notice a bit more of those moderate heavier pockets, the contours of the deeper um, greens, as well as oranges and yellows. We're gonna need those umbrellas handy all day tomorrow. So be mindful of that accessory by four o'clock, things really lighten up and the showers seem like they kind of exit. But, you know, we are left with the clouds still at bay. So it's kind of a bit more of a damp start heading into Monday. Nice, beautiful clearing and the sunshine is back into play as we start off the next week. Now, as far as rain total, it looks like this. So three quarters of an inch close to an inch for some spots, very localized. I'm not very concerned about localized flooding. Uh but because it seems to be such kind of like nuisance rain, it's just gonna be a rainy day and that's something to just be mindful about. By Tuesday, Wednesday, we get back into the forties and as we start off Hanukkah on Thursday, we are expecting drier conditions and high temperatures into the forties. Much more like December.

Well, it's time for a check at your forecast with meteorologist Scott Skoff. Scott. What can you tell us? Well, Amanda, we are looking at some wet weather for our Sunday tomorrow. Gonna be seeing those showers build in the morning will be heaviest from late morning until the early to mid afternoon. That's when we can expect the heaviest rains if you have any errands to do, do it later in the afternoon, evening before stores close or first thing in the morning as well because the rain won't be as bad then no real chance of flooding. But there will be plenty of that notorious fog. That fog will be with us as we go into the day tomorrow. So overnight temperatures going to be in the upper thirties and torrents and forties elsewhere, cloudy skies with that rain building in as we go overnight, gonna be seeing that rain coming in from our south and west. All this moisture is because of the stalled system over towards the Great Lakes in Appalachia. We are be seeing this move on and give us all that rain heavy into the afternoon tomorrow. So what are we looking at up to a half inch of rain. So, not too much and no real chance of flooding, but we still could see some ponding on the roadway, especially route 795. The merit and 84 as well. We'll be keeping our eye on this as we go into the day tomorrow, moist foggy cloudy as we go later on tonight. Not too bad, but showers will start to build on. And then by 89 clock and see more rain chances heavier from lunchtime into the afternoon. By 34 o'clock, things are going to start to taper off with a few lingering showers. Sunday night into your Monday morning. Still some areas of fog forties across the board tomorrow near 50 though, down in Greenwich, showers on and off, but mainly going to be seeing that breezier weather as we go into the next couple of days after the rain 50 on Monday, 44 Tuesday, 41 on Wednesday, 38 C be on Thursday.

So many winters without snow. So what's behind this, what's been behind it is mainly just been two things really our weather patterns and just the shift in any of these storm systems that they've been shifting just a bit more to the south or east or to the north and east, which has been the trend for the last couple of years has been bringing in rain because of the warm sector of these storm systems instead of giving us any kind of snow. So unfortunately, we just kind of drew the short stick, but this year, we are hoping for a little bit better Tama, but at least for right now that's not going to be happening for us. We are looking outside at a gorgeous sunset over in Tarrytown and that is going to be leading to a system of rain. That's right. We're still not gonna be dealing with any kind of snow forest just yet, but we are going to start to see a rain once again by the time we get into our Sunday. So taking a look outside as of right now for our radar, things are gonna be dry but cloudy across the board, even fog is going to develop overnight. So the next 12 hours just be mindful. It's gonna be cloudy but dry and rather mild for this time of year, temperature steady into the upper forties. And we are gonna be seeing that rain developing rather late mainly overnight from our Saturday into our Sunday morning. So make sure you have your umbrella and rain gear ready to go. And if you just wanna stay indoors and watch movies, it's gonna be a great day to do that as well, especially if you haven't put up any of your holiday decorations just yet. Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, we're expecting rain showers could potentially see some brief heavy spouts and then we have a brief little break in our rain as well early into our Sunday afternoon, but it's still gonna be on and off showers throughout much of our Sunday heading into our Sunday nights before clearing. By the time we get to our Monday morning, a half to three quarters of an inch of rainfall is what we're expecting across the board, especially towards Yonkers and White Plains inching closer to that three quarters of rainfall. But for the days ahead, the rain is mainly gonna be Sunday and then we're looking for a dry trend and on top of it, a chilly trend heading into next week. Quick look at our 10 day forecast. Monday looks to be one of the warmer spots and then forties and even upper thirties for Hanukkah.

It's gonna cool down again in the 10 day. Let's talk about the bigger issue, which is going to be the rain tomorrow. So we do have cloudy skies all weekend, obviously a fog out there this morning too. So that's creating some visibility issues. But on Sunday, it is a steady rain for a good chunk of the day. So today is the pick out of the weekend. There'll be some peaks of sunshine this afternoon around lunch, but not much of it. Temperatures are in the mid ff maybe even upper fifties if we get enough sunshine, but I would not count on the sun. It's gonna be a possibility that we, you got a few breaks in the clouds, but most of the day is pretty cloudy. This is 5 p.m. the sun is already set and temperatures are still in the fifties. So you don't need the heavy winter jacket. Just a light jacket. Today will do dinner time is mainly dry, but after 89 o'clock, there could be some spritzes and stray showers. It's a all day full LG wash out on Sunday, light rain in the morning, check this out. Temperatures are in the fifties in the morning, that's above average for the afternoon at this point in the year. But we don't warm up on Sunday. It's gonna stay 50 all day with this very persistent, very steady and very damp rain that just sticks around until I'd say about six o'clock or so. So, if you have any brunch lunch, early dinner plans Sunday, I just don't see a lot of opportunity for dry time for you here. So we're gonna keep that in mind. Temperatures are not bad all the way through Monday. We're hanging out in the fifties. Today's high of 56 is the warmest that we've actually seen since mid November morning. Lows are in the forties, so no worries about frost. No worries about cold when you're stepping out the door. Tuesday morning, we're back down to 36. So that's kind of setting the stage for a cooler upcoming work week, 46 there, 43 on Wednesday and 42 on Thursday. It's not the coldest set we've seen, but it is definitely pretty chilly for that first night of Hanukkah. Expected to definitely feel like it is December, but we rebound a little bit next weekend with another chance for some rain. Just a little heads up on that. But the work week does look dry. Not that we want to talk about the work week on a Saturday, but that's how it's shaping up

And speaking of a snow drought, we turn now to meteorologist Scott Sinko Scott, you know, when we can expect to see some snow here, I'm thinking it's mainly going to be towards January, February March. That's when we normally see in this El Nino weather pattern that we're currently in. So technically, we're seeing warmer weather weather for the first half of the winter and that's what we're seeing, especially for the day. Tomorrow, rain is moving on and starting in the early morning, the showers will build if you do have to do anything early, do it later in the afternoon evening. It's probably the best time with the less chance of rain, but still dealing with clouds and fog and those wet roads. So just take it slow for a dark dreary Sunday across the region, but today wasn't much better. At least starting out. Look at this over in Sussex County by Mountain Creek. Just crazy dense fog, visibility. Literally, you couldn't see anything in front of your face. And that is going to be the case as we go into tomorrow with the rain and the fog, we've just been dealing with this over the past several days as more moisture is coming on and from our south and west clouds are going to continue to build even though we saw a little bit of sunshine earlier, more rain though, pushing in towards the early morning. So let's break things down. We are going to see up to a half inch to one inch of rain throughout our Sunday. So no real chance of flood because it's going to be going slower and steadier into the afternoon. We are looking at those clouds continuing with the mild air forties overnight, with those showers beginning after midnight. Then as we go to it's 56 in the morning, things gonna get a little heavier down in South Jersey and then widespread across the state from 10 a.m. till about three o'clock in the afternoon. That's when things are going to start to taper off. Still a lingering shower or two are in the cards, but definitely be on the lookout as we had Sunday night into Monday as we are going to see clouds and fog linger. So overnight tonight, forties, mild conditions as those showers build can be a little cloudy. Could see definitely areas of fog, especially by the Jersey shore, all of those bay areas of water too. Sunday, fifties out there in Fellows and Jersey City 54 in Cream Ridge. Rainy day. More of that drier air though coming in towards the late afternoon, that's the best time to do anything outdoors. Then on Monday, we're looking at windy conditions. 52 on Monday, mostly cloudy skies. Then those temperatures take a dip. On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. We are looking at the slight chance for some isolated showers, sprinkles or flakes, but we're keeping our eye on that in your hyper local forecast.
