The Pace University women's lacrosse team has been honored by the state for bringing home the national title.
State Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D) and other Westchester state leaders recognized the team in Albany on Tuesday.
The team won the 2023 Division II National Championship, marking the first time a school from Westchester County secured a national title.
The celebrations are set to continue Friday at the NCAA Championship Ring Ceremony.
