The owners of a Spring Valley apartment complex where residents were trapped during a March fire have been ordered to pay a hefty fine.
Owners of the Country Village Towers Apartment Complex will have to pay a $25,000 fine and have been ordered to resolve all violations by the end of the month.
That's a result of a settlement reached with Rockland County after several people were trapped on the complex's seventh floor during a fire, which left multiple families displaced.
An inspection found over 100 violations that News 12 documented exclusively.
The county says most of those violations have been cured and that follow-up inspections will be done to confirm he rest have been resolved.
