Over 100 violations issued to anglers ahead of opening day of striped bass season Saturday

The Environmental Conservation's Law Enforcement units gave citations for violations including illegal possession of fish, fishing without a license and using the wrong hook while fishing for striped bass.

In just two days more than 100 tickets have been issued to those fishing in the Hudson Valley.
The Environmental Conservation's Law Enforcement units gave citations for violations including illegal possession of fish, fishing without a license and using the wrong hook while fishing for striped bass.
Officers also seized 35 striped bass and donated the fish to a local zoo.
Anglers are reminded that the season for striped bass in the Hudson River opens in the state tomorrow.
