City of Newburgh police say they are investigating the death of a 7-year-old Wednesday.
An Orange County official says that the child was found inside a home on William Street.
Newburgh police say they were notified around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday that the child had arrived at Montefiore St. Luke's Hospital. They say he was not breathing.
The boy was not able to be resuscitated, police say.
Police say they are investigating the circumstances of the child's death and that no further information is being released at this time.
