An Orange County legislative task force will now review concerns with a no-bid contract for a top county official’s brother-in-law.
Legislative Chairwoman Katherine Bonelli tells News 12 that she’s putting together the task force to review the $800,000 IT contract for Isaac Sacolick - who’s related to the county human resources Commissioner Langdon Chapman.
Sen. James Skoufis and three county legislators alleged last week that the deal is illegal and corrupt. The county’s attorney denies those claims.
Skoufis says his office has put in a criminal referral to the state attorney general and FBI.
