Operation Santa Claus is hosting its annual brunch at the Fairways at Dunwoodie in Yonkers.
The organization’s yearly Holiday Brunch is a community favorite for its festivities and the impact it has on the area.
The money raised at the event will be given out in grants next year to local groups assisting people with special needs.
Last month, the organization gave out more than $20,000 in grants to institutions for the disabled.
The money is used for equipment and programs that aren't otherwise funded for people with disabilities.
Former Sen. Nick Spano says it was a pleasure to come to the event.
"When you look at the smiles of the faces on the young people that are here, the people that benefit from the generosity of so many people, it makes it all worthwhile, especially in this holiday season," said Spano.

The brunch will give away commemorative awards to notable organizations and individuals in the disabled community as well.
