A 47-year-old man is in stable condition after he was pushed onto the train tracks inside a Woodlawn station on Monday.
Investigators say they responded to the incident on the 4-line platform around 7:06 p.m.
The man was waiting at the station when he was suddenly pushed onto the tracks.
According to police data, transit crime in the area has declined. Over the past month, there have been two reported incidents. Last year around the same time, there were six incidents reported.
As the investigation continues, police have one person in custody.
