An Oklahoma woman has pleaded guilty to charges of driving under the influence and causing a fatal crash in Newburgh.
According to court records, Nicole Hoke crashed into another car on Route 9W in June, resulting in the death of 61-year-old Laura Chavez-Aralos from Kingston and causing serious injuries to another individual.
Tests revealed that Hoke's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit at the time of the crash.
As a result of her plea, Hoke faces a sentence of four to 12 years in prison for vehicular homicide. Her sentencing is scheduled for July 23.
