The discovery of an oil spill on Lake Carmel is causing environmental concerns in Putnam County.
Crews were called after a strong odor of oil was detected on Saturday.
A sheen was also spotted in the water by Lakeshore Drive and Kitchawan.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation is now working to contain the spill and figure out where it came from.
