Police, fire and EMS workers participated in a DWI accident simulation in Orangetown this morning.
The DWI simulation was to show high school seniors in Rockland County about the dangers of drinking and driving.
Student actors played injured victims. Some were on the ground, scattered around the three car-wreck, supposedly caused by one of them driving drunk. One of them was covered by a sheet because, according to the scenario, he was dead.
The organizers tried to make the simulation as realistic as possible, including the use of a helicopter to show the evacuation of a seriously injured patient.
