Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a deal late Tuesday on several unresolved issues, including rent regulation and school funding.

On the education front, $250 million will be made available to non-public schools, but there will be no tax credit for private school donors. The governor and Republicans wanted the tax credit, but settled for the aid increase.

As for rent regulations, the current rent laws were set to expire last week, but now they have been extended for four years.

In terms of juvenile justice, 16- and 17-year-old offenders will be taken out of adult correctional facilities. Lawmakers, however, were unable to reach an agreement on raising the age of criminal responsibility in New York.

Cuomo also said that Attorney General Eric Schneiderman will be appointed for one year as special prosecutor for any police-involved killings. The governor indicated this isn't a long-term solution, and that he wants to tackle the subject again next year.
