Pedestrian hit on Saw Mill River Parkway undergoes surgery

They say the person was struck in northbound lanes north of McLean Avenue.

The pedestrian hit on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers Wednesday afternoon has undergone surgery at Westchester Medical Center.
Police say the victim, who remains unidentified, crossed three lanes of southbound traffic and climbed over the center concrete divide before being struck in the northbound lanes.
It happened by McLean Avenue and caused the northbound lanes to be closed from the city line to the Cross County Parkway exit for several hours.
The investigation is continuing.
