A massive brush fire at an Orange County farm is now under control.
The fire, which was 15 miles long and spanned through several towns, torched several acres at Roe's Orchard, located just off of Route 94 in the village of Chester.
The Chester Fire Department said it took dozens of firefighters to get the blaze under control at four locations.
Firefighters say that the fire started Monday afternoon from an industrial freight train. A smoke stack on the train caught fire and left burning embers on the track. As the train moved, dry brush caught fire in four separate locations over a 6-mile radius.
While officials feel confident they have the fire under control, state rangers will be monitoring the situation overnight.
