Brick and cement walls is all that is left of a popular Portuguese restaurant after a fire destroyed the building Wednesday morning.
Lincoln Barbecue, a 30-year-old Mount Vernon staple, went up in flames just before 10 a.m.
Officials believe the fire ignited above the ceiling.
It took firefighters over two hours to control the blaze. Three firefighters are recovering from minor injuries.
The fire also caused smoke damage to the meat market next door, but officials say that business will be fine.
Everyone in both locations made it out safely.
The owner of the restaurant says he plans on rebuilding.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
