A pilot from Newburgh and another man were killed when a small plane crashed in Saratoga Springs on Saturday.
Officials say the four-seat Cessna 180 hit the top of a tree along a road near Heber Airpark, shortly after 5:30 p.m. The single-engine craft came to rest on the front lawn of a residential home.
The Newburgh pilot has been identified as 33-year-old Ciprian Ivascu. The passenger has been identified as 61-year-old Jon Stomski, of Milton.
Published reports indicate that the plane was pulling a banner that read "Saratoga Skydiving," and that Ivascu owned an aerial photography business in Newburgh.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash, News 12 is told.
