A 13-month investigation showed the members would go to the dealerships and smash windows, find key fobs and then drive cars out, often waiting for police to respond before speeding off at dangerous speeds, officials say.
Officials say the crew would often hit multiple establishments in one night.
Police say they found the suspects through video surveillance, phone data, license plate readers and details from multiple police departments.
Investigators say a search of two of the suspects’ homes led to the recovery of thousands in stolen phones and key fobs.
The suspects, all from the Bronx, are as follows:
  • Josepher Cartagena, 27,  pleaded guilty to grand larceny in the second degree.
  • Brandon Collazo-Rivera, 26, pleaded guilty to grand larceny  in the second degree.
  • Douglas Noble, 29, pleaded guilty to grand larceny in the second degree.
