Officials are continuing their search for three suspects involved in an altercation Friday that left several Yonkers police officers injured.
Police say were responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Glen Hill Avenue when they realized a suspect had a gun.
The suspect started fighting officers when a second vehicle attempted to flee, driving backwards into police and leaving one officer against a utility pole.
News 12 is told the car sped away towards the Bronx and the two other suspects fled on foot. Schools and businesses were told to shelter in place.
Owner of Casa Dibello ABeida Nazil says they locked their businesses.
“We were locked in because they say everyone should stay inside,” Nazil says. “Don’t come out.”
The suspects are still at large, police say the neighborhood is not in danger.
