The Greenburgh town supervisor is calling for a ban on gun shows at the Westchester County Center.
Paul Feiner is asking County Executive Rob Astorino to cancel the firearms show in the wake of the Oregon college shooting that left nine people dead.
The show was prohibited for 10 years at the county center after the Columbine school shooting. It was also canceled after the Newtown school shooting. Now, Feiner and other advocates say it should be banned for good.
Feiner says he is not advocating that privately held gun shows should be banned, but says he wants to do his part to help end gun violence.
News 12 reached out to Rob Astorino's office, but has not yet received a response.
