An inspirational speech was made Saturday to parishioners at St. Bartholomew's Church in Yonkers.
The words came from NYPD Officer Steven McDonald, who was paralyzed from the neck down after being shot by a teenager in Central Park almost 30 years ago. He addressed the congregation with a message of faith and struggle after the morning Mass.
McDonald is the most seriously wounded New York City police officer to survive his injury.
