NYPD: Man wanted in fatal Boerum Hill stabbing has criminal history

The NYPD is searching for 26-year-old Joevani Vale, who has been arrested three times before.

Police released new information about the man they're looking for in connection to stabbings in Boerum Hill that left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital.
The NYPD is searching for 26-year-old Joevani Vale, who has been arrested three times before. 
Vale was arrested for assault in 2020, forceful touching in 2016 and then public lewdness in 2015.
He’s now accused of slashing a 31-year-old woman in the thigh on Saturday just before 1:30 p.m. She’s expected to be OK. 
The NYPD says Vale then fatally stabbed an 83-year-old man in the arm and neck just before 2:30 p.m.
