Dozens came out to attend Ardsley's first Asian American Pacific Islander Festival at Pascone Park on Saturday.
Gina Roh co-chaired the event. She said the festival was organized to "amplify the Asian American voice."
"We're the second biggest ethnic group here in Ardsley," Roh said. "We just wanted to celebrate the diversity, all the beautiful cultures represented here in Ardsley."
They did so through dance and food.
"This is the Japan booth," one volunteer explained. "It's very unique, [we have] sushi, edamame, it's very popular."
Mayor Nancy Kaboolian said the festival took months to plan. She told News 12 that she was glad that all the hard work paid off.
"This is eight months in the making, so we're really excited that the weather held out and everyone's having a great time," Kaboolian said.
