Westchester County honors local leaders for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

Westchester County is celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by recognizing two individuals for their significant contributions in their fields.
The Board of Legislators honored Dr. Bhagwati Mistry for her advancements in health care equity and contributions to pediatric dentistry.
Also recognized was Jaclyn Liu, co-founder of the Chinese Academy of Greater New York, who has served as president of the Organization of Chinese Americans.
"So many people inspiring ahead of me, I'm just one of them. Hopefully more people will continue the journey, and of course, I will with them... to make the community better," Liu said.
Both honorees received proclamations of recognition.
