The NYPD is looking to identify a suspect linked to multiple sexual assault acts in Manhattan.
Police say a 23-year-old woman was walking in the Central Park West and West 82nd Street area on July 16 at around 4 a.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and pulled her down. According to officers, the suspect held the victim down and allegedly sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled the scene shortly after on an electric bicycle.
The victim sustained abrasions to her body.
A second incident occurred the same day at 5 a.m. in the area of Avenue A and East 4th Street. The NYPD says a 28-year-old woman was walking when the suspect on his electric bicycle approached her, dismounted the bike and grabbed her.
The suspect allegedly stated he had a knife and pulled the victim to the ground. The suspect revealed his private areas and committed a sexual assault on the victim, according to police. The suspect fled the scene after.
The victim was transported to treatment for abrasions on her body.
The suspect is still on the loose.
