A series of shootings swept through New York City this weekend with multiple suspects wanted in connection to them still on the run.
A total of 23 shootings shook up the city this weekend leaving three people dead and 12 people injured overall.
A 22-year-old man is fighting for his life in critical condition after a shooting in Fordham Heights Sunday, while another 22-year-old man is dead. Police say the suspect, identified as Roman Anderson, has now been arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon in connection.
In Brooklyn, another deadly shooting took place on the Coney Island boardwalk after officials say two women and three men were shot. One of those men was a 42-year-old and was fatally shot in the back. Police say the other victims are expected to make a full recovery. So far, no arrests have been made.
Despite the shootings, NYPD statistics show shooting incidents are actually down 11.3% compared to this time last year.
