NYPD: 2 wanted in violent subway station robbery in Soundview

A Bronx commuter was robbed early Sunday morning at the Morrison Avenue Soundview subway station. the suspects are still on the loose.

Police say they are searching for two people in connection to a Sunday robbery in Soundview.
According to the NYPD, a 27-year-old man was approached by a suspect at around 3:45 a.m. at the Morrison Avenue Soundview subway station and asked for money. The victim said he didn't have any. The suspect followed the man to the southbound 6 train platform and threw him on the ground, then kicked and punched him in the face and body, police say.
A second suspect displayed a firearm and placed it on that man's head and took his wallet. Both of those men then fled.
The suspects' whereabouts are currently unknown. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
