New York is seeing a surge of voter registration ahead of next month's primary, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Up to 1,000 new voters pour in each day at the Westchester County Board of Elections.
Officials say the overall numbers are up nearly 40 percent in Westchester alone, compared with the last contested primary in 2008.
While residents can still register for the general election, the deadline for the primary was Friday.
News 12 has learned that Hillary Clinton will hold her first hometown rally as a presidential candidate this Thursday at SUNY Purchase ahead of the New York primary on April 19.
