More help is on the way from New York to Puerto Rico more than six months after Hurricane Maria.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo flew to the island yesterday to introduce phase two of his rebuilding plan, which includes the start of a home-by-home reconstruction effort.
The governor says he will keep fighting until Puerto Rico gets its fair share of federal funds. "We'll continue what we need to do to help Puerto Rico especially visa-via the federal government because I still don't believe Puerto Rico has gotten their fair share from the federal government."
Nearly 500 New York students with experience in construction and design are expected to volunteer to help rebuild Puerto Rico starting in June.
