North Castle police: Pickpockets targeting grocery shoppers

Pickpockets are lurking in the Town of North Castle, according to police.
North Castle police say thieves are using distraction techniques to swipe items while people are grocery shopping.
The culprits will travel in groups sometimes.
Officials are warning shoppers not to leave purses and bags unattended while perusing the grocery store aisles.
People can keep their items close by wearing a crossbody bag to store credit cards and wallets.
Another good way to avoid perpetrators is to use a debit card and cover your hands when entering your pin so other people don't see your sensitive information.
