It seems stores start decorating for Christmas earlier and earlier every year.
Even as retail giants like Macy's, Walmart, Toys 'R Us and Kmart announce plans to be open Thanksgiving morning, retailer Nordstrom is continuing its tradition of being closed on Thanksgiving Day, and saving its holiday decorations until after Thanksgiving.
Signs posted at various stores across the country and on Facebook say, "At Nordstrom, we won't be decking our halls until Friday, Nov. 27. Why? Well, we just like the idea of celebrating one holiday at a time. From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving."
Store officials say it is a Nordstrom tradition to be closed on Thanksgiving and to unveil holiday trim the following morning.
