Nursing homes and assisted living facilities in New Rochelle also no longer allowed to accept visitors until further notice.
The development is part of the state of emergency that Gov. Andrew Cuomo put into place on Saturday.
“If you ask me what we have to be worried about, we have to be worried about nursing homes,” said Gov. Cuomo. “They've been given specific instructions to the staff. In New Rochelle, we're taking an added precaution – no outside visitors."
The state also setting up an emergency operations center in New Rochelle and ramping up staff and supplies to monitor and test people for the virus.
As of Saturday night, there were 89 confirmed coronavirus cases in the state – 70 of them are in Westchester.
