No reopening date for Bear Mountain State Park following last month’s flood damage
Bear Mountain State Park remains closed after last month's deadly storm that caused significant flood damage throughout the Hudson Valley.
A representative for the New York State Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation Department tells News 12 repairs to their damaged water treatment plant are progressing, but that there's no reopening date at this time.
In February, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that 2.4 million people visited the state park in 2022 – a record number for the location.
