No one was injured after a fire at a multifamily apartment complex in Bedford Hills on Friday night.

The fire department says they received call around 6:30 p.m. to a structure fire. The fire was in a front bedroom and it was put out in about 20 minutes.

It's unknown how many people live in the apartment.

"The building department's here now to see if it's safe for them to resume occupying it this evening and the rest of the building is able to be occupied," says Deputy Chief Jason Nickson, with the Bedford Hills Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is also unknown at this time. But fire crews needed to break the glass to let smoke out.
