Emergency crews responded to Mavis Tire on North Avenue in New Rochelle Thursday after a snow-covered roof collapsed.
Officials say it's not clear what caused the roof to cave, but the weight of the snow could have been a factor.
News 12 was told the roof collapsed in the workshop area and that the car lifts stopped the roof from collapsing further.
News 12 has been told two people were inside the office at the time, but no one was hurt.
In the aftermath, the real concern was that falling debris appears to have caused a heater to separate from a gas line.
Con Edison came to the scene to shut down service.
