NJ American Water lifts boil water advisory for 9 towns following leak

New Jersey American Water has lifted a mandatory boil water advisory for nine New Jersey towns following a water main transmission leak.
The leak prompted a boil water advisory for Clark, Dunellen, Edison, Green Brook, Linden, Middlesex, Piscataway, Roselle and South Plainfield.
Officials say that testing found that the water supply “met all state and federal water quality standards.”
The advisory was issued on Monday following the leak. New Jersey American Water had set up several water distribution centers for residents to get packages of bottled water.
All repairs have now been complete.
