Bad news for night owls! A new study has linked staying up late to increased risk of diabetes.
Researchers found that night owls have a 72% greater risk of developing Type 2 diabetes over eight years.
Though there is no clear answer as to why, people who stay awake later into the night are more likely to have poor diets, drink more alcohol and be less physically active, all leading to more body fat.
