One of Orange County's largest school districts is reporting 23 new cases after the holiday break.

The cases were reported Monday and are among seven schools in the Newburgh school district.

The district is on a virtual learning schedule this week, with teachers and students expected to return to class later this month.

The Mid-Hudson region is among the highest in the state for coronavirus in schools, with more than 9,300 cases reported since September.
