Nancy Benfer is receiving the honor from the Mid-Hudson School Study Council.
She started at the Bishop Dunn Memorial School 20 years ago as a teaching assistant and was named principal in 2017.
Benfer says receiving the award is not only a reflection of her, but also a testament to the incredible team of teachers and staff.
