New Yorkers took to Twitter and voiced concerns after the Empire State Building's Twitter account showed a photo of the building lit up in the colors of NFC champions the Eagles and the AFC Champions the Chiefs on Sunday.
Brooklyn Council Member Justin Brennan tweeted that there should be a law to make sure something like this never happens again.
It wasn't all serious though. The Department of Buildings also tweeted in response that all the other buildings in the city "Looked up to you," given how tall the Empire State Building is.
While it seemed like a stab in the back for its fellow buildings, the former world's tallest building maybe even offending to the Giants, who lost to the Eagles a little more than a week. The Eagles cut off what many hoped would be a big comeback this season for the city's team.
