New York Blood Center, Putnam County first responders to host blood drive amid low supply

The Blood Center says one donation could save up to three lives. It takes just an hour to donate.

The New York Blood Center is hosting its 25th blood drive Friday in partnership with the Putnam County Firefighters and Fraternal Order of Police. 
The drive happens twice a year during typically critical times for the blood supply.
It will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Carmel VFW.  
The Blood Center says one donation could save up to three lives. It takes just an hour to donate.
