News 12 viewers have helped raised $28,000 in just two
days to give children and their families, affected by unemployment, a Christmas
this year.
Unemployment advocate Jamie Pratt says
there has been an outpouring of support after our story aired Tuesday which
shared the plight of hundreds of unemployed families awaiting adoption for the
holidays
Pratt says nearly 200 people have registered to adopt a
family on their waiting list and that $22,000 has been raised to cover any
other families who sign up for help.
Pratt says thanks to News 12 viewers there's now
enough to give a Christmas to hundreds of children in need.
