Before “Black Panther” officially hits theaters, members of the New Rochelle Boys and Girls Club were invited to a free advanced screening of the movie on Thursday.

Regal Entertainment Group, Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios teamed up to provide 200 children a VIP experience, including walking the blue carpet, at Regal New Roc Stadium 18 & IMAX.

The advanced screening is part of the #BlackPantherChallenge campaign, which is a nationwide movement started on GoFundMe to raise money for underprivileged or marginalized kids to see the movie.

"This is my first trip to the movies...I don't really do movie theaters," Jaishon Spabi, a senior at New Rochelle High School, said. He is one of the New Rochelle High School students getting a break from the tense times on campus in the last couple of weeks.

"It's important period because these kids get to see images of people that look like them on the screen in a very positive light, so the diversity of the movie is important," Lutonya Russell-Humes, a representative from the New Rochelle Boys and Girls Club, told News 12.

“Black Panther” takes place in an African nation and features a black superhero and supporting cast.

The movie opens in theaters nationwide Friday at midnight.
