New Rochelle police say a Suffolk County man was charged for committing a series of crimes that took place over a 90-minute period Thursday afternoon.
Michael Bagley, of Coram, was charged with robbery, burglary, assault, unlawful imprisonment and criminal mischief.
Police say it began when the 32-year-old robbed a convenience store at 683 Main St. and assaulted a worker.
The female employe is listed in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.
He then robbed a pedestrian of cash, according to officials.
Police say he then broke into a home on Laurel Place that was occupied by a woman and her two young children.
The woman was able to keep him calm while she covertly messaged a neighbor to call police.
He was arrested at the home without further incident.
