The New Rochelle police commissioner is retiring after serving 24 years with the department.
Patrick Carroll served as commissioner since 1993, after spending 28 years with the New York Police Department.
Carroll announced his retirement back in August. Friday marked his last day on the job.
Carroll says he is looking forward to spending more time with his family and 18 grandchildren.
