When it comes to donating blood, age is just a number.
Joe Mamanna, an 84-year-old New Rochelle Marine Corp veteran, made his 101st blood donation at the American Legion Post in Scarsdale Thursday.
He's has been giving blood since the 1970s, and insists he'll keep doing it because he knows it helps a lot of people.
Officials at the Red Cross say there is no age limit on who can donate blood. They say one pint of donated blood can save three lives.
