New portions of Orange County enter the yellow zone

Orange County has had more than 15,500 cases since the pandemic began with more than 150 new cases recently reported.

New portions of Orange County are in the yellow COVID-19 cluster zone - separate from the locations where the yellow zone was lifted on Wednesday.
The areas include parts of Newburgh, New Windsor, Middletown and Highland Falls.
Orange County has had more than 15,500 cases since the pandemic began with more than 150 new cases recently reported.
On Wednesday, the governor announced that Orange County's yellow zone was removed after stating that progress has been made with a low infection rate over the last several weeks.
County Executive Steven Neuhaus is continuing to encourage people to wash their hands, wear a face covering and avoiding large gatherings.
In a yellow zone, businesses and restaurants can still operate, religious services are limited to 50% capacity and mass gatherings are capped at 25 people.
