New Jersey getting more than $1.1 billion in funding for bridges

New Jersey is getting more than $1.1 billion in funding for bridges.
New Jersey’s bridges are desperately in need of repair and the East Anderson Street Bridge is one of many that will be improved.
Congressman Josh Gottheimer and other officials visited the bridge yesterday.
"This bridge, as everyone said, literally, is falling apart. It's one of the, in New Jersey, one-third of bridges [that] are considered unsafe, or structurally deficient, a third. And this is one of them," says Gottheimer.
502 bridges across the state are in poor condition and will get repaired. "This bridge will get fixed. Starting next year, they're finishing all the plans, starting next year, construction will begin here," Gottheimer adds.
